Our School

The student council of Mikro Primary

Each year, Mikro Primary elects student council members from our Grade 7 group. The number of boys and girls who serve on the council is determined by the ratio of boys to girls in the grade.

All Grade 7 learners as well as the school staff voluntarily take part in the voting process.

The student council members also elect an executive committee, which serves for the full year. This executive consists of:

  • a Head Boy,
  • a Head Girl,
  • a Deputy Head Boy, and
  • a Deputy Head Girl.
 

The following requirements are important to serve as a student council member at Mikro Primary:

  • A high level of self-discipline
  • Responsibility
  • Punctuality
  • Loyalty and reliability
  • Helpfulness, thoughtfulness, and courtesy
  • Tactful and fair conduct
  • Ability to accept majority decisions

  • Perseverance
 

The student council is divided into subcommittees. Each member belongs to a subcommittee with specific duties, led by a member of the executive team.

Our student council aims to complete a charity or environmental project each term.
